Sheet music for the song, arranged by Marshall Bailey, class of 1925, can be viewed by clicking the image to the right. In 1929, Lowell Baxter, class of 1930 and a member of the college's Marching Band, wrote the words and music for a new "Wittenberg Fight Song," but at some point in the following 15 years a new song was penned by Ray Whitman.I’m told some of their later records are quite good. This song from the album was my introduction to them, and it is weird and kind of irritating and strangely catchy and perfectly encapsulates Ween.I can’t decide if he’s right or not (or if it simply won’t be relevant for what he has–indeed, a lot of this financial stuff, it seems like JR is more knowledgeable than anyone else because he has actually read the material–something nobody does.
So you can’t tell if you’ll like any other Ween songs based on this one. And if, like me, you haven’t see the video in twenty years, check it out had lots of locations and historical photo-op type things. [MP3] [WAV] [OGG] Fight on for old Wittenberg (and vict'ry), Speed up her unending surge (to vict'ry), Back those opponents up to the wall; They are due for a fall, Wittenberg! The fight song of the Wittenberg Tigers has a long and varied history. praises unto her name (and vict'ry), Smash ahead across the field, And we'll win again for Wittenberg! In the meantime JR is mad that Bast says he has no time to write music when here’s a whole bunch of music he has recently done (this is commercial stuff to pay the bills).Bast agrees to meet Piscator (and for that, JR gives him an elastic band for his broken shoe).
